Not for Lisp, though. According to the output you provide, Lisp is
only searched for in share. Conforming to the FHS, lib is where you
put architecture-specific binaries, such as DLLs, and executables only
invoked by other programs.
I guess I was confused about where things go, because they used to go in
different places long ago (I think), and since I don't build xemacs very
often, I wasn't paying attention.
Mike is the expert, but I don't see anything in your --debug-paths
output that would cause the symptom you're seeing.
It's fixed now. Or will be once I change my PATH to the correct value.
By the way, you said your site startup file is empty, but how about
default.el? (I expect that will be empty too, but gotta cover all the
bases here....)
It turns out that share/xemacs/site-lisp is completely empty. No files.
Is there supposed to be a default.el there or somewhere else?
