The comments and code in configure.ac relating to the linker
command-line-argument that failed--which was this:
ld: fatal: option -z has illegal argument `nocombreloc'
ld: fatal: Flags processing errors
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
--say you should be able to add --enable-pdump to the configure script
command line and have it work.
