Right---my work is based on that, and I can now apply some
simplifications. But you will be checking in the patch to zap
PACKAGE_PATH, right?
I will submit a patch and see what feedback I get. (The message is in
my drafts folder even as I type this.) I certainly plan on checking
in my patch to zap the default setting of PACKAGE_PATH, but we'll have
to see what comments and suggestions people have.
