Just applied the all the hpux patches on my machine. Everything is
fine, except xemacs.
My binary for 21.2 stopped working (dumps core right at the start when
processing the env variables). So did my 21.1 binary??? And my
21.0???????
I'm back to 19.16 (????????????????) now, and it seems to work.
No luck recompiling either: dumps core when running the dumped xemacs
for the first time (while testing for shadows).
I've tried with/without rel-alloc/gnu-malloc, no luck.
With gnu malloc, it dumps while putting the env variables into lisp
strings, in gmalloc itself (line 586, next->prev is nil). If I protect
that one, it dumps with an assertion, due to the fact that the first
lisp string created for for the first env variable is 0xffffffff (in
make_uninit_string). Can't figure out why though...
Any ideas?
Richard.
