(e.g., grepping for ssl turns up nothing). It should be easy to
implement given ssl.el though. Altough I'm not sure which version
should be extended... Do we have a volunteer to work on POP3? The
idea of rewriting all current POP3 versions into pop.el sounds better
and better.
