Dear Bug Team!
First, a bug report: the code that adds dired to the File menu, and is
commented out by default, is missing a close parenthesis at the end.
Second, lazy-lock does now have a modeline string, contrary to the
comment in the sample init.el. font-lock mode doesn't, on the other
hand; perhaps code could be added to remove the font lock mode string?
