When????
It sounds like you picked up this afternoon's CVS updates which
includes a patch to fix word movement in XEmacs/Mule. This patch has
only been tested on Unix without Lisp Unions (I have a fix I'm
currently building for Lisp Unions).
There be lots of bugs in the current CVS tree.
