Loading files containing "U+201E DOUBLE LOW-9 QUOTATION MARK"
works now but trying to input it by using a customized
~/.Xmodmap with a line like
keysym comma = comma less 0x0100201a 0x0100201e
just outputs the error message "U201E not defined." in the
mini-buffer. xev shows:
KeyPress event, serial 31, synthetic NO, window 0x2200001,
root 0x48, subw 0x0, time 518398919, (85,69), root:(1298,518),
state 0x2001, keycode 59 (keysym 0x100201e, U201E), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 3 bytes: (e2 80 9e) "„"
XmbLookupString gives 3 bytes: (e2 80 9e) "„"
XFilterEvent returns: False
Apparently XEmacs doesn't support keysymx like 0x100201e.
