www.gnome.org and
www.gtk.org have suffered a vast facelift recently.
(Within the last couple of months.) You'll be pleasantly surprised.
A dedicated GNOME-detractor will still be able to find plenty of
faults in the docs, but it's no longer honest to say they aren't
giving it the old college try.
But have you actually read the code? Bork! GTK is pretty well behaved in
terms of sticking to the object system, but GNOME is horrid and requires
direct structure access all over the place. *sigh*
