Next problem is "put-image". Does an XEmacs equivalent exist?
There’s no direct equivalent, and the API is not worth emulating. See
#'select-convert-from-image-data for code that attempts something similar. I
would probably have suggested some code myself, but I don’t know where to
find the Gnus code you’re modifying.
