For future reference, doing `M-x build-report' creates and sends to
<xemacs-buildreports(a)xemacs.org> a report which includes configuration
information (both explicit options such as "--with-mule" and important
autodetected features such as ESounD).
If you build with redirection to the file "beta.err" (eg, "(make beta;
make check) >beta.err 2>&1") it will also parse that file for
"interesting" compile messages and the results of the automatic test
suite.
Now you know why you don't see so many reports like your on
xemacs-beta ;-)
Also, the build reports are archived at
http://list-archive.xemacs.org/xemacs-buildreports/; you can check
there to see if there are similar platforms with successes when you
are failing to build. (It uses the same search engine as all of our
archives.)
