Note that I didn't have to change anything in my local source tree since I
always specify the connect method on the command line:
alias cvsc='cvs -z9 -d :ext:xemacs@cvs.xemacs.org:/pack/xemacscvs $*'

Hi Valdis,
please use
:pserver:cvs@cvs.xemacs.org:/pack/xemacscvs
from now on.
See
http://www.xemacs.org/Develop/cvsaccess.html#quickstart
for details.
For those with outdated Root and Repository files, please use
somehting like this, which has never failed me through the rough
waters of the various stages of our move:
Please use a trailing \; instead of ;, which is what I needed to use
under cygwin.
cd c:\Hacking\SunSITE.dk\xemacsweb\
c:\cygwin\bin\find . -name Root -exec perl -p -i.orig -e
"s|WHATEVER_YOU_HAVE_IN_CVS_Root|:pserver:cvs\@cvs.xemacs.org:/pack/xemacscvs|;"
{} ;
c:\cygwin\bin\find . -name Repository -exec perl -p -i.orig -e
"s|WHATEVER_YOU_HAVE_IN_CVS_Repository|XEmacs/xemacsweb|;" {} ;
Do the same for modules
xemacs (Repository XEmacs/xemacs)
packages (Repository XEmacs/packages)
and
xemacs-builds (Repository XEmacs/xemacs-builds)
as needed.
Hope this helps,
Adrian
