Thank you for pointing that out. All the Linux systems I have apparently do not have tool tips enabled, but a trip to a WindowsXP machine in the shop shows they are indeed working there. If they were there in XP and I didn't know it--I must not use them very much (grin). I'll have to look up how to use them in Xwindows and get them going.
