Hi All,
I am trying to download the above patch. I am trying to maintain
Carbon version of 21.5.
The patch appears to be empty. Since I'm in the process of moving
from the U.S. to Japan, this is unlikely to get fixed before Sept 1.
Does it mean that I have to use CVS ???
Actually, we switched to Mercurial as our version control system
almost a year ago, and it is strongly recommended that you use the
Mercurial version, as even 21.5.28 is now very out of date.
There is also an unofficial carbon branch maintained by Aidan Kehoe,
which might be a better starting place.
Once you've installed Mercurial (get it from your usual open source
distribution or from
http://www.selenic.com/), you can check out the
carbon branch with
hg clone
http://hg.debian.org/hg/xemacs/xemacs-carbon2
or the mainline with
hg clone
http://hg.debian.org/hg/xemacs/xemacs-beta
You can use the same tag format as with CVS (eg, r21-5-28 for version
21.5.28) to check out specific versions once you have a Mercurial
workspace.
