My subscriptions

I attempted to subscribe to two xemacs lists on friday. I am somewhere in limbo. I am subscribing from a different email address than I use to receive mail. Is that my problem? Is there any hope of a human intervening and eithor putting me on the lists or explaining why not? Or am I lost forever? Am I not dancing through the hoops properly? Why did it go thorugh the process of asking my alternate email address for authorization if it wasn't going to accept it? ... ... Should I have taken a bath before attempting to subscribe?
