Excellent! Thank you, this is wonderful! I have a few questions and comments.
1. Is there a 21.4 repo? I tried:
"hg clone
https://bitbucket.org/xemacs/xemacs-21.4", but no joy:
warning:
bitbucket.org certificate with fingerprint
81:2b:08:90:dc:d3:71:ee:e0:7c:b4:75:ce:9b:6c:48:94:56:a1:fe not
verified (check hostfingerprints or web.cacerts config setting)
abort: HTTP Error 404: NOT FOUND
There is now.
2. About that cert error; it seems that adding these lines:
[web]
cacerts = /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt
to my .hgrc is enough to satisfy hg as to the validity of the
certificates. Here I'm using Fedora; see
http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/CACertificates for more info on
where the certificate files reside on other systems.
3. Thanks for porting the xemacs-packages to hg!! Apart from all the
CVS keyword changes, I noticed the following diffs:
Only in cvsroot/xemacs-packages: unsupported
I emailed around the authors of stuff in unsupported at the time, and
none of them though the stuff there was worth including in the Mercurial
repo.
Only in hgroot/xemacs-packages/xemacs-packages: eicq
Only in hgroot/xemacs-packages/xemacs-packages/gnus: gnus
Only in hgroot/xemacs-packages/xemacs-packages: ps-print-nomule
Only in hgroot/xemacs-packages/xemacs-packages/w3/lisp: custom-load.el
Huh: Has this stuff been deprecated? Norbert?
4. Is there a repo of the XEmacs web sources? I would like to
capture
this new info there.
Same here :-)
PS. I created a bitbucket account; the account name is
"acs". Thanks
in advance for getting me push access. Do you need my public key?
No, you need to deposit it with bitbucket in your account. I've added
you to the xemacs group, and made you admin for xemacs-21.4.
