I took a brief look, and couldn't reproduce this with i686 21.4.8 Mule.
I don't have access to a PPC box.

While I was there, did a sync with setnu.el 1.06 (nothing really there),
it'll be in CVS soon.

now my Xemacs version is 21.4.8 form debain package.. with mule
A few days ago I know a setnu.el so I try to using that..
It' work only first time using M-x setnu-mode
and display line number and I try edit somethineg it dosen't work
Firs I had cheack in debian intel. It's work fine.
and I cheack in GNU Emacs with my iBook. It's also work fine.
My Xemacs said "Wrong type argument: extentp, nil"
when try edit after change setnu-mode
I don't know well about Emacs, Xemacs and Lisp.
I know more info need to fix my problem, but I don't know what need.
If you need more infor about my probem, tel me how get the info.
Then I repost with more info.
