crash when trying to find first compilation error

What happened was that the XEmacs I was using crashed when I used the next-error command, printing some text on the terminal which I shall place below. What I thought should have happened was that after trying to navigate to the first error using next-error, the XEmacs would show me the first error and its context in the relevant source file. I had done a compilation using a makefile and had a compilation buffer full of errors.
