OK. How about this documentation fix? OTOH, if it is a no-op,
continuing using it means the differences against Emacs are
minimized which would ease maintainance.
Sure, that's why the function is still there.
I assume the docstring wasn't made more aggressive because at the time
we wouldn't sure pdump would be here to stay.
