Just for the reference, I'm frequently seeing uninterruptible hangs with 21.5. They occur when sending mail from Gnus and the symptoms are a flashing hourglass and the X11 window not getting refreshed. No amount of C-g's or waiting gets me out of that situation and I have to kill XEmacs. Extremely frustrating. BTW, it seems that the mail in question actually does get sent. This is with XEmacs 21.5 (beta18) "chestnut" (+CVS-20041123) [Lucid] (i686-pc-linux, Mule) of Wed Dec 1 2004 Please note that this is different from the regexp-related hangs that I had with 21.4. --J.
