This looks like a well-known bug in one of the LISP libraries, already
diagnosed. I thought it was fixed, maybe that's only in current CVS.
I'm sorry not to be more precise, but I'm busy on other tasks right
now, and soon after the holidays I'm not sure who of my colleagues is
geared up to answer this inquiry. I did want to provide you with at
least this response quickly.
If you Google for "Attempt to throw outside of function
site:list-archives.xemacs.org" you should get a bunch of relevant
hits. You can also (1) try updating to current CVS; (2) wait on a new
beta release (I hope late this week); or (3) wait for one of the
developers (maybe even me ;-) to get back to you.
