Since when? The module code has _never_ ever been stable, nor has it
ever been used for anything other than testing. The modules have been
broken (and in some cases fixed later) by many changes some of which
are still ongoing, like the portable dumper.
If that counts for anything, I am using modules quite happily on 21.1.7
+ module patches[1]. Has anything significantly changed in 21.2?
