I have taken FSF's browse-url.el from GNU Emacs 20.4 and made it happy under XEmacs with a few `featurep's and I put the change logs back in where they used to live (from the original, and then by grabbing the appropriate entries from the ChangeLog file from FSF). I also listed myself as the maintainer, since it looks like it'll be difficult or impossible to have a single copy that works for both FSF and us. (I plan only to track changes from FSF to keep ours in sync; functionality changes I'd do through FSF's maintainer.) There is one thing that I'm not sure about, though: in the FSF version, browse-url-browser-function has "20.4" listed for :version. Is there any reason to change this? (I don't see what it will hurt, but it sort of bugs me because it's not the same as FSF's 20.4.)
