XEmacs runs on Darwin as of 21.5.1. I will probably add support to
21.4 in the next release of the 21.4 series, or the one following.
If you want the Mac GUI, we have no plans to port to that. You have
to use X. As such things go, it's probably not too hard; the GTK port
took approximately 3 man-months. The Mac port would probably be
substantially more difficult, since the GTK+ environment is based on
X. Still an architecture that supports both X and MS Windows directly
should be able to make room for MacOS.
But we have no experienced Mac programmers. Volunteers welcome!
