Customize/Update Packages fails under 21.0 "Poitou" XEmacs

Let's try that again. I don't know what happened with that last message. I just tried, for the first time, doing a package update from the Customize menu. The ".pkg.tar.gz" file got FTP'd from xemacs.org just fine, but "package-admin-rmtree" is trying to delete my home directory. Here's a little piece of the backtrace, with "debug-on-error" set to "t".
