set-frame-position mishandles negative args

The docs for set-frame-position (i.e., C-h f set-frame-position) say that negative args are interpreted as counting from the right or bottom, respectively. In fact, the args appear to be interpreted as counting from the upper-left corner of the screen, regardless of sign. What I did: 1. Invoked xemacs with -vanilla. 2. Using the mouse, dragged the frame to the middle of the screen. 3. In the *scratch* buffer, typed and evaluated: (set-frame-position (selected-frame) -1 0) The frame jumped to the upper-left corner of the screen. (It should have jumped to the upper right, because of the negative XOFFSET.) Further experimentation, with larger negative args, shows that I can indeed make the frame jump partly off the screen, and that YOFFSET has the same problem as XOFFSET.
