Hopefully --without-xim won't break dead keys in XEmacs...
It probably will, actually; XEmacs doesn't support dead keys natively,
so if it looks like they're supported and you're not using Quail, it's
gotta be XIM, I think.
See if you get any complaints, and in the meantime I'll break out the
manuals and see if I can figure out what's going on with UIM.
