FWIW, I'm seeing no X errors or warnings (specifically, no BadWindow
or XtRemoveGrab messages) on Gentoo GNU/Linux with Xorg Xserver
1.11.0, freshly updated X libraries, and fluxbox window manager 1.3.1;
or on Mac OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" with the Apple-distributed Xquartz
server and quartz-wm window manager.
Note: similar reports in the past have never been diagnosed or fixed
AFAIK, they just mysteriously go away (or users find them harmless and
stop reporting them).
