To wrap this up: On Win32, clearcase apparently maps views as "//view/viewtag/foo/bar" _and_ _also_ as "m:/viewtag/foo/bar", where "m:" is the clearcase.el default that needs to be customized (clearcase-viewroot-drive) if the actual installation uses a different drive letter.
