I would say -r r21-2-b1 is probably OK; that's just another name for a
node on the 21.1 tree where 21.2 (which was released as 21.4) branched
off.  First try -r r21-2-35, the last beta release before Martin's
patch mentioned above; it's about midway in time, anyway.
Note that tag nomenclature changed at r21-2-b4, which is aliased to
r21-2-4.  Tags before that were of the form r21-2-b##, tags after that
of the form r21-2-##.
