Unfortunately, I just noticed that all of the A4 manuals I built
still use bitmap fonts. I used pdftex, and so they should be fine, but
they're not. I'm going to have to figure out what happened and redo
them. The letter-size manuals are fine.
Sigh. Time to read the pdftex source.
