I understand that tux.org has been very good to the XEmacs project for many many years, and that there is a fair degree of "loyalty" to break through from the XEmacs side, but sinking ships and all that. If you know what I mean. Actually, I think I will. We already have #'pui-bootstrap that uses FFI/libcurl to leech EFS and xemacs-base. That wouldn't be too much work to extend so that it alleviates the need for EFS completely for PUI. That, in turn, would remove the restriction of FTP being the only transport available for packages. Am I making you jealous yet? :-) Well, I've given you one suggestion. It's ftp.au.xemacs.org that doesn't exist anymore. Dunno what happened to them (planetmirror.com). They used to host ftp.sxemacs.org and I was never informed of anything.
