[issue730] eldoc in xemacs

Raymond Toy writes: Add something to the issue to bump its activity so it will show up at the top of the Recent Issues page. :-) (You can do that in email to XEmacs Beta by formatting the subject as above -- check it and see!) GPLv3 is no longer an issue so we can sync to the most recent versions. Unfortunately, the "can't find sperl" Debian CVS issue has blocked all package work.
