I never knew that. The build instructions only talked about Xcode so I
thought that that was the only way. That put me off because I didn't have
time to learn yet another IDE.
Given Andrew Choi's comments on his blog about his Carbon Emacs experiences,
this port won't attract Mac developers to XEmacs but is might attract UNIX
developers who happen to use Macs (such as myself). The use of 'configure' in
this case is part of that attraction.
