There have been recurring reports of gnuserv causing 100% cpu utilisation
under cygwin. I had always assumed that this was a cygwin bug, and indeed
upgrading the cygwin version seems to cure things. However, we have now had
reports of the same situation occuring on AIX and solaris, and I too have
seen this behaviour now although it generally works for me.
Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? This is both 21.1 and 21.2.
In my case the gutter got redrawn repeatedly for ever, maybe this is a
different problem to do with the gutter? Trying it again and the whole
thing worked. I wonder whether there's something suspicious about the
process or signal handling code?
