Didier, Stephen! Here is where I arrived at. I canibalized Stephen's (and some of my ideas) from pxp and modified patcher.el, which is closer to what I need than pxp, and it is already ``customized''. It also uses the standard `patch-to-changelog' already. Since I don't know what happened to your version of patcher.el meanwhile, Didier, here is my current status. This may be ready for inclusion into the xemacs-base package already. Please test.
