Re: symbol's value as variable is void: allow-remote-paths

Hi Steven, Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have been looking into the, or at least one of the, allow-remote-paths problems. I'm trying to get the package system working as it is currently designed. This is the first step. Maybe that will be followed by making it more robust, use curl, etc. We'll see. Unfortunately I have been occupied with the bitbucket move and getting the package smoketest and xemacs buildbot up and running. I think that those are mostly done now so I'll will look at the package system again soon.
