This is correct however
(describe-variable 'AUCTeX-version)
returns
Value: "CVS-1.13"
And that then appears in the bug reports using TeX-submit-bug-report.
The reason seems to be the check in, what ever I tried when I check in
that variable get the values "CVS-1.13".
There have been discussion in the auctex list of what to do, and the
suggestion did not work unfortunately. (This problem is still on my
todo list)
