.xemacs/init.el

I've just reread the interesting discussion starting at: http://www.xemacs.org/list-archives/xemacs-beta/199805/msg01144.html The upshot, from my point of view is this: Back then, placing init files in ~/.xemacs wasn't a good idea because there was a package hierarchy living at ~/.xemacs. Now that that's changed, I couldn't see any reasonable objections to finally implementing ~/.xemacs/init.elc? as a preferred alternative to ~/.emacs. I plan to revisit some minor startup issues the upcoming weekend, so I'd like to put it in then. Any objections? -- Cheers =8-} Mike Friede, Völkerverständigung und überhaupt blabla
