I explicitly took out all references to specific packages to force
people to read README.packages. I don't think an XEmacs with just
xemacs-base is all that more useful than a bare XEmacs.

of fellow, how about the following:

mean it. If you haven't read it, don't complain about various
functions being missing from your installation.

Actually, I've just noticed that my changes to README.packages and
package-get.el haven't been applied to 21.2, only to 21.1. Do I need
to resend the patches?
