For the moment, I have reverted to the old state.
I may come back in the future when I have found time to look more
closely into this behaviour.
Don't waste your time looking into it unless you get it with a recent
vm.
If you like, I can send you the vm I'm using, which is almost maybe
nearly what the 8.2.0 release will be.
