I have no problem with being conservative about changes. And for the
load-history I don't really expect XEmacs core to change. I just want
a warm fuzzy that I am not breaking something un-obvious but important.
I am also hoping that other rcfiles users will get a hint at why some
packages work and others don't. And a possible solution. I am willing
to massage load-history in my init.el file.
And it looks like 21.5 fixes my site-lisp problem, so that is a plus! I
have only recently switched back to 21.5 after a 13 year hiatus
(Yikes!).
