Gosh! I can't even remember ever writing that error report! So
unfortunately I don't remember any fix either.
I do remember using XEmacs on cygwin, synced up with the latest and
greatest sources on nearly a daily basis during the last two years or
so without getting this problem. So I guess there must have been some
fix along the way.

Sorry. I have no clue. I must have been using these sources
successfully but then again I have been using a cygwin build. Maybe it
is a native build run on Windows 2000 problem? I can just give you the
normal suggestion to try the latest sources etc.
