crash in Find dialog box

Hello, I'm running xemacs 21.4.8 under Debian Linux. I'm running fvwm 2.4 on top of X 4.1, if it matters. There seems to be a serious bug in the Find dialog box. The problem is when I try to activate the text box so that I can enter the search string. Sometimes this just kills the xemacs session. It dies quickly, no cleanup, etc, just bam, gone along with any changes I have made since the last save :( This does not happen every time I click on the text window in the Find dialog box, but it happens frequently. It also seems a) if it is going to die it will die the first time I try to activate the text box after starting the Find dialog box b) not to happen the first time I open the Find dialog box in an xemacs session Of course, those are observations which at any moment could be countered.
