Dear Bug Team!
In 21.4.12, mouse pasting with button2 does not work if zmacs-regions
is nil.
To reproduce:
xemacs -q -no-site-file
M-x set-variable zmacs-regions nil
type abcdef
select abc with button1. Position pointer after def (say), and click
button2. What happens: cursor moves to pointer position. What should
happen: abc should be inserted at the cursor position.
I have also verified that this happens with a clean build from source on
my home system.
I think the previous version I used at home (which didn't have this
bug) was 21.4.8, but I'm not sure, as I had a disk crash and
reinstalled most things.
