I've never done this, could you please outline the basic steps you
take to do it so I can look into this.

.../xemacs-packages/etc/gnusrefcard/Makefile has 3 principal targets:
- quickref
- refcard
- booklet
% make quickref
is ok (builds quickref.ps), while
% make refcard
and
% make booklet
fail with latex errors, as latex finds macros that were never defined
