Because generally you do *not* want the frame to change size if the gutter
changes. If it did you could never really have dynamic updates to the
gutter (which is sized automatically depending on what's in it). Whether
that's what you want when the frame gets created I don't know.
Additionally, I see no gutter code in pixel_to_glyph_translation, is
that correct? Andy?
Probably not. What do you suggest?
