I'm following the examples in the info documentation, and have
created the example database, etc. Everything works fine, up until I
get to "libpq Lisp Symbols and DataTypes", pq-result-error-message,
and C-x C-e those examples. The first one blonks like it says it
should, and prints:
fatal error [ERROR: parser: parse error at or near "-"
]
... in the minibuffer. The second statement, however, returns ""
rather than the expected string. I found that the variable R is not
being set - That is, the error message in the minibuffer is coming
from inside of the `pq-exec', and that's never returning to the
`setq' to set R.
