Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
Pardon me if this is a known problem. In XEmacs 21.2.42 on a Linux box,
if I load up a Lisp file with a few problems and bytecompile it using
the "Lisp" menu, I get a small buffer at the bottom containing
warnings. At that time, the tabs look like this:
======================----------------
| *Compile-Log-Show* | *Compile-Log* |
==========================
That is, the tab for the buffer containing the Lisp code itself has
disappeared. If I now do C-x 1, the log buffer disappears, but the tabs
stay as shown above. This is repeatable.
(Note that the XEmacs sending this email is NOT the one on which the
problem occurred. For various local reasons, I cannot yet manage mail
with the beta XEmacs.)
