What are you doing? I don't see a defvar sgml-... in psgml:
That gave the game away. I cleaned out the psgml directory and `cvs
update'd. Then it compiled and ran cleanly. I must have contaminated
the source in an earlier blundering attempt to get 1.21.1 to work.
